Linda Rettstatt
Books published at Class Act Books: Dedication: For single parents who know the fear of the foundation shifting uncertainly beneath your feet Author BIO: (Limit 500 words) Linda Rettstatt is an award-winning, multi-published author of women's fiction and contemporary romance. Her love of books was fostered early in life by her grandfather, who read bedtime stories to her until she was able to read them right back to him. Her first job as a clerk with her hometown newspaper afforded the opportunity to write community theater reviews and an occasional human interest story. She worked for several years as a composer and songwriter, semi-professional musician, and nature photographer. She holds a Master's Degree in Social Work and has worked in both the clinical and general social work arenas. Linda reclaimed her passion for writing in 2002, and hasn't stopped writing since. Of her work, Linda says, "I write for women—stories of strength, love, humor, and hope. Writing is a passion I once possessed that now possesses me." Linda's short stories have garnered recognition and awards from Writer's Digest and Pennwriters, Inc. Her writing has been compared to that of Nicholas Sparks and Elizabeth Berg. Her novels have twice finaled for an EPIC e-Book Award. Linda spent much of her life in southwestern Pennsylvania, but currently resides in Southaven, Mississippi. Renting to Own is her ninth novel.
